LTTA in Preveza, Greece
The project first LTTA was held in Preveza, Greece. The host organisation – Artifactory - prepared
training on Story Telling with story-boarding class and Digital Photography as Creative Art. The
participants were refugees from our partner countries, young people from Ukraine and Syria, who
prepared moving histories of their home missing in the form of diaries called Home-books. They were
the basis of the following training on telling stories.
Day 1
The arrival day gave us all opportunity to have a Welcoming party in the afternoon and show
presentations about our respective organisations. We also saw the premises of our host ArtiFactory
and learn about their core activities. The evening walk around Preveza gave us the breathtaking
impressions!
Day 2
We held the official meeting in the Artifactory premises and after an ice-breaking activity, the
students presented the “homebooks” they had prepared before coming to Greece. We also
discussed the topic of integration and inclusion and what art has to do with it. In the afternoon we
split into groups and worked on our digital storyboards about art and inclusion. We ended the day
having dinner together with our partner participants, tasting typical Greek dishes.
Day 3
We met at the Music School of Preveza, where we joined a rehearsal of the school’s band. Then we
went to visit the Archeological Museum and Archeological Site of Nikopolis. In the evening, we met
again with our working groups and we put the finishing touch to our storyboards.
Day 4
In the morning we attended a lecture on digital photography followed by a very successful workshop.
Then we presented what we had been working on for the two previous days. We also picked the best
works. Finally we recorded some short films documenting our work. The Farewell dinner let us try
again the delicious Greek cuisine.
Day 5
That was the last day of our meeting in Preveza. We had a summary discussion pointing out the
most important questions of the meeting and we decided on the future activities. In the end, the
Certificate ceremony took place and we said goodbye to our hosts and other partners.
